Denka is addressing global environmental issues based on Responsible Care, an initiative promoted by the global chemical industry. As a chemical manufacturer, Denka exercises strict control over environmental impact and strives to develop innovative technologies to conserve resources and energy.

Basic Policy

In a situation where awareness of environmental issues such as global warming has been raised as the most important issue threatening the existence of humanity and ecosystems, the pursuit of sustainability is positioned as a prerequisite for fulfilling social responsibilities and continuing business, as well as an opportunity for improving product competitiveness and creating new business opportunities.
Based on this recognition, the Company will raise the environmental mind of all employees, create environmental value through decarbonization, strengthen product competitiveness, and gain satisfaction and trust from stakeholders.

2025 Activity Policy

In accordance with our Management Plan “Mission 2030”, in fiscal year 2025, we will focus on (1) GX human resource development, (2) process innovation, energy conservation promotion and profitability, (3) proper response to the needs of information disclosure, (4) strengthening the supply chain, and (5) effective use of resources and promotion of reduction of hazardous substances, etc.

Support for the Responsible Care World Charter (2014 version)

On December 9, 2014, Denka became a signatory to the Responsible Care Global Charter (2014 version) proposed by the International Council of Chemical Associations (ICCA) and declared its support for and implementation of the principles of Responsible Care together with chemical manufacturers around the world.

Under the "Responsible Care Global Charter," we will promote RC activities covering all processes from raw materials to manufacturing, storage, logistics, use, and disposal to fulfill our social responsibilities, striving to ensure compliance, prevent environmental pollution, and contribute to environmental protection toward the realization of a sustainable society through these efforts.
