We have announced our support for the "GX League Basic Concept" published by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry since fiscal year 2022, and on May 15, 2023, we announced our participation in the "GX League," which will be fully operational from fiscal year 2023.
The GX League aims to accelerate the transition to carbon neutrality (CN) by bringing together companies that are driving the transformation of the entire socio-economic system, including not only their own companies but also their stakeholders, with industry, government, and academia working together to discuss and create new markets for the transformation of the entire socio-economic system. We have committed to achieving CN by 2050, and in our eight-year Management Plan “Mission 2030” which begins in 2023, we are taking a step further and increasing our CO2 reduction target of 50% (compared to 2013 levels) by 2030 to 60%, accelerating our efforts toward CN by 2050. We decided to participate in the GX League because these initiatives are in line with its objectives.
