In July 2022, Denka became a partner of WIPO GREEN, a global platform for environmental technologies operated by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
Denka possesses various technologies with environmental value, including low dielectric materials that contribute to reducing energy loss in high-speed communications such as AI servers, heat dissipation and conductive materials that contribute to prolonging the life of electronic products and batteries, phosphor products ※1 that contribute to the spread of LEDs and play a role in curbing energy consumption, and food packaging materials that pursue thin-walling and weight reduction to reduce plastic usage.
As one of these technologies, Denka has registered its resource recycling system for styrene resins, "D-NODE™" ※2, in the WIPO GREEN database.
Through "D-NODE™", Denka is working on social demonstration of chemical recycling as a specialist that delivers limited resources to the future by expanding the recycling circle of styrene resins in collaboration with various stakeholders.
