In March 2019, a paper written by our researcher, Shuhei Aoyama, was published in the academic journal "Analyst" of the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), and was selected for the cover page due to its high evaluation.
This paper proposes a novel immunodiagnostic platform using a polymer sheet processed by a nanoimprint method (a type of fine processing technology). The microcone structure fabricated on the sheet enables highly sensitive and rapid detection of the target antigen. Furthermore, by examining the types of polymers used and the shapes of the fine structures in detail, we achieved highly sensitive detection of blood proteins. The platform has higher homogeneity and transparency than existing immunodiagnostic kits, and is expected to be applied as a next-generation immunodiagnostic platform.
